Memories from our syndicate production

Last term the juniors were all involved in a production called Jack and the Beanstalk. Each child had an important role either as an actor, narrator or a dancer. The children learned many things about The Arts in this worthwhile experience.

Life Education

The Life Education caravan is in our school at present. Anna talked to us about the 9 important things we needed to keep us happy and our bodies healthy. They are:

1. Healthy food.
2. Water.
3. Oxygen.
4. Exercise.
5. Sleep.
6. Wash ourselves.
7. Shelter.
8. To feel Safe.
9. Love.

We met Harold the giraffe

Anna also taught us about some parts of our body and how it is important it is to look after ourselves.

We learned where the stomach was and what it did to the food we eat.

We learned where our lungs were hiding.

We learned that the heart was an important muscle that pumps blood around our body.

Ronald McDonald Visits

Today Ronald McDonald visited the juniors with a road safety message.
He reminded us that..

We should wear our seat belts in the car.

We should always STOP, LOOK AND LISTEN
When we walk on the footpath, we should walk on the house side and not close to the kerb.
We should cross at a pedestrian crossing.

and, the footpath is not a safe place to play on!

Sharing Our Learning With Our Buddy Class

Corny Goo
We learned that when you pick up the goo, it feels dry and hard like a solid. When you stop rolling, it spreads over your fingers like a liquid.

Sharing why currants bounce up and down....

What happens when you mix baking soda and vinegar together?

Investigating which mixture is the best to blow bubbles with...
We also discovered that the results can change if one mixture has more water than the other!

What Goes On in Music Time?

On Wednesdays Mr Ramsay takes our class for music lessons. This week our teacher sneaked in with the flip camera and filmed what was happening. We had a class orchestra and some of the children were learning to be conductors. Have a look at some of the movies taken during music time.
