Not a Box

We recently read a book called "Not a Box"
We used our imaginations and thought of what the 'box' below could be. The pictures were drawn on a programme called KidPix by the children.
Look at this picture...
Look carefully, can you see the 'box' in our podcasts?
This is what Talia, Tahnee, Sanha, Rio and Matthew think it is...

Paper Plane Fun!!!

An exciting experience was created to motivate children for writing...
Watch this movie and look at the fun we all had.

Enjoy the cinquain poems we wrote after we made and flew paper planes. It was a fun experience shared by the whole class. We thought of some exciting words we could use in our poems. Listen to the adjectives and similes we brainstormed together as a class.
Eden, Matthew and Bea read their cinquain poems.

Joel's Family Treasure

Joel showed us an old teddy bear that his father had.
It has long arms, a firm body, leather on it's paws, a pointed muzzle and the fur is coming off. The eyes have come off too and now it has blue button eyes.
We learned that many of the teddy bears you get now have shorter arms, a soft body, a rounded muzzle and they can come in different colours.
Get a closer at this lovely old teddy by clicking on the picture below.

We Love Our Teddies!

Some of the children brought their teddies to school last week. We looked at them and felt them. We thought of these adjectives to describe them:
soft, cuddly, furry, fluffy, light, bouncy, noisy, and colourful.
Click on the picture below to get a closer look.
