How Big is a Dinosaur?

We found out some interesting things about the Apatosaurus.

We were really fascinated about the size because it was one of the largest land animals.

We learned that the tail was about 15 metres long. We measured how long this was..

and...

the Apatosaurus was between 21 and 27 metres long. We stretched out our arms and used a measuring tape to help us measure it....

It was huge!

What Sort of Dinosaur is This?

Chalmers brought a toy dinosaur to school on Friday. We looked at pictures to try and identify it. After looking at many pictures, we thought that it might be an Apatosaurus (Brontosaurus).

The Great Dinosaur Dig

This week we pretended to be Palaeontologists. With our special tools, we were involved in a 'dinosaur dig'

We are interested in this dinosaur and have decided to find out more about it.

What Would These Capsules Turn Into???

We started our exciting inquiry about dinosaurs by doing an experiment. We put tiny capsules in a glass of hot water and watched to see what would happened.........We were excited to see the results.......
