Watching a Butterfly Hatch From a Chrysalis

Yesterday during our grandparents morning an exciting thing happened in our classroom. A chrysalis started to split and a Monarch butterfly started to come out. We were all fascinated by this and watched it happening with great interest! It took a long time for it to come out and then the butterfly dried it's wings out.
